How are our scaffolds made?

As a manufacturer of scaffolding, we are characterized by the high quality of our systems. The entire production of our systems takes place in Poland in our own factory located near Warsaw. Thanks to this, we fully control the entire process – starting from the design, through the selection of high-quality materials to hot-dip galvanizing.

Scaffolding manufacturing

Scaffolding production is a multi-stage process. We approach each of the stages with full commitment and professionalism. We do not look for shortcuts, which in any way, can reduce the quality of production, and the final manufactured scaffolding elements.

First, we create 3d models of the individual scaffold components in Solidworks, then assemble them one by one into a real 3d scaffold and analyze all possible use cases in detail. During this time, we make adjustments so that the scaffold and its components are as useful as possible in many different settings.

Once the modeling is complete, the structural parts of the scaffolding are subjected to FEA (Finite Element Method) analysis.

Once the FEA analysis is completed, the materials for the production of the various scaffolding components are finally selected: the steel grade, wall thicknesses and mechanical properties and chemical composition of the steel used, as well as the suppliers of sections, profiles, sheets and components.

It should be mentioned here that not all steel is suitable for some elements of scaffolding, for example, our frames are made with the technology of reducing the diameter of the pipe, the so-called bottling – the steel used for such technology must be of the highest quality and with the appropriate parameters.

We use particularly high strength steels in many of the components we produce: S460MH and S460MC, as well as S700MC.
We manufacture steel platforms exclusively from cold-rolled steel strip with improved strength parameters in HC260LA grade.
In addition, the steel we use for scaffolding has the right chemical composition to be suitable for hot-dip galvanizing, so that the excellent quality of the zinc coating on our scaffolding steel components can be guaranteed, and thus their durability and lifespan.
Not every manufacturer of tubes and profiles can provide supplies that meet such high requirements for chemical composition and mechanical properties, so our company sources only from the best and proven manufacturers of tubes, profiles and steel strips that meet such stringent requirements.

The next stage is the preparation of production tooling – our design department designs production tools: punching dies, stamping dies used for punching and stamping metal sheets and pipes and making technological holes, as well as welding jigs that guarantee precise welding of individual scaffolding components.

After all the production tooling is made, we make the first scaffolding components, take accurate measurements, and then put them together checking that they all fit together. If necessary, we make minor adjustments to the tooling.

We perform the first destructive tests in our production plant by loading the elements with weights, and then the elements that are particularly important structurally are submitted for testing to the laboratory of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Warsaw Institute of Technology (formerly IMBiGS).

After passing all the previous stages, we start the actual production of the individual scaffold parts. Pipes and profiles are cut on a fully automatic CNC machine, with an accuracy of 0.15mm, as well as on a laser. This allows us to maintain precision at the very beginning of the production cycle. They are then subjected to further mechanical processing. Steel platforms are produced on a perforating and profiling line. Finally, the parts that require the welding process go mostly to robotic welding stations.

All essential tubes and profiles from which we manufacture our scaffolding are permanently marked at the stage of their production, so we have full traceability of the raw material.

Essential structural components of scaffolding are additionally permanently marked after their production.

At every stage of production, we focus on the highest quality of the final product, being
aware that people work on the scaffolding and their safety is important to us.
Top quality knows no shortcuts.
